An excellent example of 1er Cru Beaune made with hand selected grapes from fourty year old vines. The wine is aged in both new and old wood for 16 months and then bottled without filtration. The nose shows expressive notes of cherry, raspberry, leather and liquorice, with good density on the palate. The finish is persistent with a hint of minerality. Excellent when drunk with regional French cheeses.

The Waimea terroir and typical high sunshine have been captured in the production of this wine resulting in a ripe, concentrated style balanced by a clean mineral structure.

In keeping with Burgundy tradition this wine is fermented and matured in French oak barrels for 13 months. It then undergoes a quick fining and light filtration to retain the freshness of the fruit and the bouquet of the great terroir of Meursault. Offers rich buttery fruit, a fine unctuous palate and a soft nutty finish.

The Carmenère grape is a revelation for Chile, producing glorious rich flavours difficult to find elsewhere. This wine is blended from premium Cabernet (70%) and Carmenère (30%) grapes and aged in French oak barrels for 7 months. A great example of the pure, fruit-driven style of some of Chile's best wines.

Beaujolais from Majestic Wine Warehouse is the perfect red wine to enjoy during the summer. The lighter reds are often best enjoyed chilled and make a great alternative to many rosé wines. The more serious Beaujolais wines from the cru rated villages make a wonderful accompaniment to barbecues or garden parties.

A recent "Manager's Choice" from Majestic Wine Warehouse was Moulin-â-Vent 'Les Bruyères' 2006 B. de Monceny; Showing a nose of bitter chocolate, cherries and a wonderfully constructed palate, this Beaujolais could easily be mistaken for a Pinot Noir. It is however, a good example of a Beaujolais cru famed for its fuller style and keeness to age. At this price we're really impressed by its complexity and length.

Nonetheless, one wine doth not a party make, and you'll find plenty of other well-priced, interesting wines at Majestic Wine Warehouse too, with something for every season, and every type of meal.
